When I built my first tarot site around the year 2000, I had a silly FAQ page that didn't actually have any Frequently Asked Questions on it! It talked about meaningless Qualifications and my Code of Ethics, and other topics that my clients never really cared about. I mean, really, how often does somebody actually ask if they may link to your site (you may, by the way)? But now, I will use my years of experience to answer some questions that have actually been asked, and frequently too! More will be added as I remember them, or as I am asked them again and again!
What do I need to tell you before I get my reading?
After you pay, you will be asked to email me with a topic of focus (e.g. Love, career, family, etc.), or the question you would like answered by your reading. You may tell me as much as you feel comfortable. You may choose to give me no information and request a general reading. That just makes things harder for you, rather than for me, because for each card I describe, you will have to think carefully about of which area in your life this card is speaking. You may also choose to tell me a long story about your situation, and ask a pointed question. That's okay too, and can help me state your answer more clearly, though of course your answer may be clear to you in a general reading, whether I know it or not!
Which spread should I choose?
Tarot spread choice can be confusing to new clients! If you'd like to contact me with your question before purchase, so that we can choose the best spread together, please do so!
May I ask multiple questions in one reading?
If you feel comfortable contacting me with your questions before purchase, please do so. In my experience, there are certain question groups that work well together, and some topics that should be placed in separate spreads for tarot. You may always see what the cards have to say with one reading, and then decide if you need any additional clarifying readings.
Can you give me an exact time frame for something?
I do have unlisted tarot spreads that analyze every month for a year, every week for a month or every day for a week for the most auspicious times to undertake certain actions. If you feel comfortable explaining your question to me before your purchase, we could strategize the best service for you, if any.
Can you tell me where a lost object or person is located?
In my experience, the tarot is not the most accurate divinatory tool for these types of questions. Please contact me to determine whether an in-person pendulum, scrying or dowsing session can or should be performed.
Will you cast a spell for me?
No. But I will pray for you for free!
What is a good question to ask for a reading?
I'm so glad you asked! Remember that tarot cards don't tell the future because your choices can change your future. So, a well-phrased question is one that asks for advice towards your goal. For example, instead of asking "will my boyfriend ask me to marry him next year" or "will I get a job soon" you could ask "what should I do in order to improve the chances that my boyfriend will ask me to marry him next year" or "what should I be thinking about or changing in my life in order to get a job soon?"
Will you give me a reading for my boyfriend/daughter/etcetera?
Once in a while, a person will desire a reading for another person. I've most commonly seen this in a case in which a relationship is just starting or ending. One member of the relationship would like to know how their partner's energy lies in order to decide how they will continue. In the psychic trade, this is called a "third party reading" and is often deemed unethical because it often requires reading a person without their permission. In most cases, this kind of reading is also not very effective. The reason is, if I were reading your friend for you, the advice that would come to me from the cards should be directed at your friend. I could tell you what I see, but in order for you to receive advice for yourself in the situation, you would have to be read, yourself. I have done, and continue to do, these readings in certain cases. Am I pregnant?
I get this a lot, probably because my tarot readings are cheaper than most home pregnancy tests. However, I am not a doctor, and I am not the person to whom you should be running for medical advice! I cannot, in good conscience, advise on matters that require a professional, without your having consulted the proper professionals first! I am also not qualified to give legal or financial advice. I am happy to provide a reading in addition to any proper treatment or advice from another consultant.
Do you give free readings?
Once upon a time, I offered private readings for the same prices I do now, but I also offered free tarot readings that I would publish On-line. I was hoping to just get good feedback in return for those. When word spread, I was solicited by hundreds of eager people. At first, I happily kept up with the pace, even though feedback was rare. Soon, some bad apples spoiled the bunch. Some people demanded repeated private readings day and night. When I asked them to purchase a private reading, I got sob stories in return or was accused of bad spiritual practice. I took a break from tarot reading for a while and pondered my predicament. Now, I only offer my readings to the public and On-line for an affordable price. What other divination services do you offer?
I have a wide-range of experience in various psychic arts, many of which I do not list on this web-site because they are difficult or impossible to sell on-line, for example palm or tea-leaf readings. Many tools, such as the pendulum, runes and ogham have been listed on my site in the past but have been taken down because they were purchased so infrequently and tended to confuse new clients. Owing to an annoyingly high level of clairvoyance, I often joke that I could scry in a toothbrush. Please ask if you have a specific media that you prefer.
Do you accept personal cheques?
At my public events, I'll happily accept a personal cheque. However, On-line, it makes good sense to accept only credit cards to limit minors' access to my services. In addition, in the three years I did accept personal cheques through the mail, a few too many people compromised my trust! At this time, I do not accept personal cheques through the mail.
Can I book a personal, in-person appointment?
Yes, but prices will change! Due to the affordability of my readings, it is simply not cost-effective for me to travel to your home for a personal appointment at my usual rates and availability. I do make exceptions for law enforcement officers using my services for the purpose of their work, due to the often life and death nature of such cases. Contact me for a quote or see my party page for private parties, corporate events or other gatherings, though pricing may vary.
Where are you located?
I do not hold regular hours at any single location. Think of me as a traveling gypsy! While I usually travel from Renton to serve the greater Seattle area (including Auburn, Bellevue, Bothell, Burien, Everett, Fife, Granite Falls, Highline, Issaquah, Kent, Kirkland, Lynwood, Marysville, Monroe, Puyallup, Redmond, SeaTac,Tacoma, Tukwila, Woodinville and more), I have served clients outside of Washington and even in other countries. Travel expense charges do apply.
